fatster rockin the gitmo torture theme and offers up the name of Jose Rodriguez, someone the defense wants the judge to compel to come for testimony:
Defense lawyers at Guantanamo “want to force a former CIA official who supervised what they called torture of al Qaeda captives to testify in the war crimes tribunal for five Guantanamo prisoners accused of plotting the September 11 attacks.” The man in question, Jose Rodriguez, was Director of the CIA’s National Clandestine Service and who claims to have destroyed “videotapes showing interrogators using aggressive interrogation methods, including . . . waterboarding . . ..” Since defense lawyers do not have subpoena power, but prosecutors do, defense lawyers asked the prosecutors to subpoena Rodriguez. They refused, whereupon, the defense lawyers asked the judge to “compel” the prosecutors to make Rodriguez available for the June hearing. That request is pending.
❖Torture. Did it work? “More than three years [after it began its investigation, the Senate Intelligence Committee] is expected to release a report that concludes the techniques did not produce any significant intelligence advances . . ..” An anonymous source said the report release “was timed to coincide with a series of interviews being given by a former CIA official” who’s touting the benefits of torture. And who, you might ask, could that possibly be? Jose Rodriguez."
the last redistricting measures in the country, want to split up my neighborhood, my town to dilute my vote. I can't believe this,
