- don't trust this guy Ryan with your signed and autographed picture of Ronald Reagan shaking hands with Richard Nixon. No sirreee!
- chart o' the day blows a hole in the collective income mythology that's being trumpeted by the Randians, digby blows me away! NPR does a piece on it tuesday 12june morning edition
- I still tell people to watch up with chris hayes. Last weekend was real good. I got to see the Ber-Nenk q&a before Congress on c-span b4 I left wichita, Friday.
- NPR reveals that the 'White House leak' talk about the nation is a conspiracy of right-wing dunces led by The Weekly Standard. So Obama should fire his national security adviser. Alright, that was a joke. NPR reprints Lee's article in an advance copy from an upcoming Weekly Standard issue... blaming Donillon for being Obama's and mucking up in front of the existing ruling culture of continuous government, blah-dy-blah. I mean, "Dude, Obama? It's your ball to lose, right, guy? So when the big wave comes, hold your breath and don't let go of your board, dude." And NPR's planet money seems pretty convinced there's a steady sustained run on he banks in Greece while news of a little bailout for Spanish banks gave only a morning's reprieve.
- Didja hear the crazy one about the federal judges and how they gave a last minute appeal for upsetting the cart, in Kansas late, last Thursday night? Wow! Here's my take (in the link) with relevant sources linked. The KC Star's Steve Kraske will talk about it on this morning's Up To Date.
I've been away from here for awhile. Family stuff to attend to and will continue to. One of them is reading aloud. I started doing this for mom. Thought she'd like it as she was reading it before I got there. The book is 'the help' by Kathryn Stockett. Great author. They made a movie that we haven't seen. It appeals on many levels, but primarily for me in the language, the way it is written to mimic human speech. Great also to me because it acts like the telling of a story about catching a story. The story in getting black house maids to tell their story of what it's like to work for white people in Jackson, Mississippi in the early 1960's. Glorious language! It's going up on the google drive as audio clips. If you want to hear me read this woman's book, tell me. The link is easy to fetch.
I got on twitter last night. Tomorrow I'll start skype. A buddy went riding 666 miles last weekend. Wanted to share.
